Shabar Ministry

Shabar is a ministry aimed at those who are shattered, broken into pieces.

Isaiah 61:1 is a familiar verse.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.

The word “broken-hearted” in Isaiah 61:1 is the Hebrew word Shabar. The Hebrew word can also be translated “shattered, broken into pieces”.

Fractured individuals are those who have a difficult time dealing with and/or staying present with reality.

Fracturing is a protective process that helps create an environment where individuals can function and/or survive.

Sometimes as children, traumatic events occur which create the need to have layers of protection.
These layers can be viewed or interacted with as “aspects” or “parts” of individuals.

Fractured individuals may have parts that choose to display themselves at different times in order to cope with the reality of their life.

Shabar is a ministry aimed at those who are shattered, broken into pieces. The clinical world might diagnose some (certainly not all) of those individuals with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).
